Hill & Vale

Herbs & spices have long been overlooked in terms of product quality & freshness. What’s more, the origin & cultivar of these ingredients is rarely known & traceability is often non-existent. In early 2020 we decided to do something about this & set about up Hill & down Vale in regions far & wide. Our aim was, & still is, to provide equitably sourced & sustainably farmed ingredients straight from harvest. We are now working with herb & spice farmers in 5 different countries around the world including: India, Sri Lanka, Italy, Spain & Madagascar with plans for more soon.

Using these same ingredients, we also make organic certified spice blends that are ground & blended in small batches for added flavour. Our spice blends aim to be a true representation of where each flavour originates.  We use salt in smaller quantities only where necessary & never use additives, fillers or anti-caking agents.
