After trialling more than 60 different combinations of edible oils and chillies, founders of Banhoek Chilli Oil, Ken and Adi, settled on The Original - Winner of the coveted Great Taste Award by the UK’s Guild of Fine Food.

Handcrafted in small batches in the heart of the Cape Winelands, South Africa, our flavoursome sun ripened Thai chillies, grown by a local community project, are infused in non-GMO rapeseed oil grown in the Overberg golden farmlands.

Our home valley, Banhoek, gets its name from Banghoek, meaning "Scary Corner”, as travellers through the Winelands had to keep a wary eye out for lions, leopards, and elephants.

Banhoek Chilli Oil is very healthy, 100% natural, Kosher and Halal. The perfect bite of flavour!
